Geoffrey Rippon tries out an experimental electric Mini traveller for a project to Downing Street

'Geoffrey Rippon, Secretary of State for Environment, today took delivery from the Electricity Council of an experimental electric Mini traveller for Alternative means of transport. The car is powered by batteries and does 25 miles on a charge of 4 hours. It has a top speed of 40 mph. The car has been lent to Mr. Rippon during the present patrol crisis and used the car to attend a cabinet meeting at No 10 Downing Street.

The car still exists today in an unknown museum - does anyone know where?
